Return and Refund Policy

We want collectors to feel confident when purchasing artwork from Jared Aubel Art. Art is personal, and we understand that a piece may not always work in a space the way you expected. At the same time, artwork must be handled carefully so it can be resold if returned.

Please review this Return and Refund Policy before placing an order.

1. 30-Day Return Window

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery

  • In the same condition it was received

  • Unused, unaltered, and undamaged

  • Returned in the original packaging

  • Packaged safely for return shipping

  • Returned with all included materials, such as certificates of authenticity, inserts, hardware, protective materials, or any other materials included with the order

Returned artwork must be in resellable condition. If the item is damaged, altered, missing materials, not returned in the original packaging, or otherwise unable to be resold, the return may be denied or a partial refund may be issued.

2. Refund Amounts

All prices listed on jaredaubel.com are all-inclusive unless clearly stated otherwise. This means the purchase price shown for eligible items includes the artwork, applicable sales tax, and standard shipping within eligible shipping areas.

For approved returns, the refund will be based on the purchase price paid at checkout.

Because standard shipping and applicable sales tax are included in the listed purchase price, approved returns of eligible items will receive a refund of the purchase price paid, as long as the artwork is returned within the return window and received in original, undamaged, resellable condition.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or the wrong item was sent.

Optional upgrades, special handling, expedited shipping, freight services, international shipping charges, installation, framing, or other special services are not refundable unless the return is due to our error.

3. Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return unless required by law:

  • Custom artwork

  • Commissioned artwork

  • Personalized pieces

  • Made-to-order items

  • Digital products or downloads

  • Gift cards

  • Final-sale or clearance items

  • Items damaged after delivery

  • Items returned without original packaging

  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery

  • Items that are altered, framed, installed, handled improperly, or otherwise changed after delivery

4. How to Start a Return

To request a return, contact us at:

Please include:

  • Your name

  • Order number

  • Item name

  • Delivery date

  • Reason for return

  • Photos of the artwork

  • Photos of the original packaging

Do not ship artwork back without contacting us first. Returns must be approved before they are sent back so we can provide return instructions and make sure the piece is packaged correctly.

Items sent back without prior approval may be refused or may not qualify for a refund.

5. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for safely shipping approved returns back to us.

Because artwork can be fragile and valuable, return shipments must be packed securely and shipped with tracking. For higher-value pieces, we may require insurance and signature confirmation.

The customer is responsible for the item until it is safely delivered back to us. We are not responsible for returns lost, stolen, or damaged in return transit.

Standard outbound shipping included in the original purchase price will not be separately deducted from an approved refund. However, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item back unless the return is due to damage during shipping or an error on our part.

6. Inspection and Refund Approval

Once the returned item is received, we will inspect it to confirm that it is in original, undamaged, resellable condition.

After inspection, we will notify you whether the return has been approved or denied.

If approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days after approval for the refund to be processed. Your bank or credit card company may take additional time to post the refund.

If the returned item is damaged, missing materials, not in its original packaging, or not in resellable condition, we reserve the right to deny the refund or issue a partial refund.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at:

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the damaged item or incorrect item

  • Photos of the shipping box and packaging

  • A description of the issue

Please keep all packaging materials while the claim is reviewed. We may need the original packaging for a carrier claim.

If the damage or error is confirmed, we will work with you on an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, repair, refund, or another reasonable solution depending on the item and availability.

8. Exchanges

Because many pieces are original, limited, or produced in small quantities, exchanges are not guaranteed.

If you would like to exchange an eligible item, contact us within 30 days of delivery. If the requested replacement is available, we may apply the approved return value toward another item.

Any price difference, special shipping needs, or additional costs related to the exchange may be the customer’s responsibility.

9. Refunds on Canceled Orders

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.

Orders may be canceled before they ship, unless the item is custom, commissioned, personalized, made-to-order, already in production, or otherwise marked final sale.

If an eligible order is canceled before it ships, we will issue a refund of the purchase price paid.

Once an order has shipped, it must be handled through the standard return process.

10. Refused or Undeliverable Packages

If a package is refused, unclaimed, or returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, any additional carrier fees, return shipping charges, reshipping costs, or related expenses may be deducted from any refund or charged to the customer before the item is reshipped.

If the item is returned to us in damaged condition because of refusal, failed delivery, or failure to accept the package, the refund may be denied or reduced.

11. International Orders

For international orders, standard shipping and applicable sales tax may only be included if clearly stated at checkout or in writing.

Customers outside the United States may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, carrier fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are not controlled by Jared Aubel Art and are not refundable unless expressly included in writing.

International return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error or the item arrived damaged.

12. Policy Abuse

We reserve the right to refuse returns from customers who abuse the return process, repeatedly return items, damage artwork, alter artwork, refuse deliveries, or violate this policy.
