Jared Aubel was born in Illinois in 1980, and at the age of eight, he moved to Arizona. His artistic abilities were evident at an early age. In elementary school he annually won the school’s pumpkin carving contest and the submissions of his drawings won many awards. This recognition along with his love of art encouraged him to pursue an education in art.
He earned an associate degree from Mesa Community College and then moved on to Arizona State University where he graduated with a bachelor degree in fine arts specializing in sculpture.
ASU’s diversified course study stimulated his interest in various art mediums with each introducing him to new skills and techniques. Incorporating these new skills into his art has expanded his capabilities and opened his mind to a larger array of concepts allowing him to offer a wider body of work.
During his education, Jared’s work has been accepted into a number of shows, and upon graduation his works popularity has continued to grow internationally.
Although his degree is in sculpting, a market has developed for his oil paintings and woodblock ink prints. At his young age, his artistic interests and abilities continue to evolve as he enjoys finding new avenues to experiment in and to pour his energy into.
